Description

Rwanda Peaberry coffee is a unique coffee grown in the volcanic soil of Rwanda’s high altitude regions. Its beans are known for their small, round shape which is distinct from the larger, flat-sided coffee bean shape, hence the name ‘peaberry’. Peaberry coffee has found its crowd in recent years due to its consistent roast profile and distinct sweetness. About 5-10% of all coffee harvested comes from peaberry beans.

Peaberry coffee beans are the result of a rare genetic mutation that results in a coffee cherry producing just one seed instead of two. This singular seed retains all of the nutrients and flavours of the coffee cherry, resulting in a distinct flavour profile that’s considered more intense and complex than traditional beans.

Rwanda Peaberry coffee has a bright acidity and fruity, floral notes with hints of milk chocolate. It’s a high-quality coffee variety that’s loved by coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.
